First things first. The inaugural Mineral Patch event is now over. We successfully auctioned off a [NASL S3 Signed BlackWidow Keyboard] for 212 dollars. All of that money has now been sent over to Doctors Without Borders. It is exciting to have made our first donation in the name of eSports. The encouragement is overwhelming, and more exciting things will be happening in the near future. At this rate look forward to a one event / month structure for the coming months. I am writing this blog while looking over to the clock and realizing that in 24 hours I will be lifting off a runway headed to Shanghai China. I hate flying. A 14 hour flight and a 16 hour time change will bring me to China. I will be attending the [BWC] (Blizzard World Championship), the culmination of months of Blizzard WCS events.
This trip was made possible thanks to the reddit /r/starcraft community. Blizzard extended an invitation for a member of the subreddit to cover their biggest starcraft event to date. After the nominations were considered, I was contacted by the admins and asked if I would be able to do the job.…
